The Love Is Action Community Initiative was birthed out of the Faith In Motion
initiative that has successfully helped
children and families in need since 2004.
National child advocate, Rhonda Sciortino, attended one Faith In Motion meeting and knew that this had to be replicated and expanded in communities throughout the US.
Rhonda is passionate about equipping people to help one another because she was the 4 year old who was being abused at home, she was the homeless 8 year old, she was the 16 year old on her own, and at 21 she was the homeless single mom with no family, no food, and no money.
There were people who helped Rhonda along her journey from foster care to millionaire, the title of her first book. The Love Is Action Community Initiative, and Rhonda's book, Love Is Action, are all about raising awareness about the people among us who need help, and how easy it is to change the trajectory of their lives with a little love and kindness.
The dream of everyone involved in the initiative is to establish Love Is Action in communities throughout the US. They hope to fast track this goal by making all the programs and resources available through a White House Summit on Children And Families.
